Cruising Sails
When it comes to cruising, we understand that one size does not fit all. Rather than offering a stock line of cruising sails, we build custom sails that match every customer’s cruising style, boat specifications, and budget. We take the time to get to know our customers so you can be sure your new cruising sail is a perfect fit in every way.

If you find yourself racing more than cruising, be sure to check out our Racing sail lineup.
Catamarans
Catamarans generate different loads under sailpower than monohulls. There is less heeling and more shock loading and sustained tension across the sail plan. To address these forces, catamaran sails are built using heavier-duty fabrics, reinforced structures, and hardware rated for higher compression and shear loads. The sails are also designed to suit wider sheeting angles and flatter sail shapes, improving both performance and handling in a range of conditions. Because no two catamarans are the same, Evolution approaches each build with a custom sail plan with special consideration of the rig geometry and desired sailing performance. Whether you’re casually cruising or preparing for lengthy offshore passages, these sails deliver the strength, control, and efficiency that Catamaran sailors rely on.
Catamaran sails are available in the Ocean, Expedition, and Performance sail series, and you can explore those product pages for general material and design details. However, building sails for a catamaran is a highly specialized process—one that goes beyond simply scaling up a monohull design. Each catamaran project follows its own tailored development process to address the vessel’s unique sailing profile. While these sails may require more time and technical consideration, this level of attention is what ensures optimal performance and longevity. At Evolution, we view this complexity not as a limitation, but as an opportunity to deliver sails that are exceptionally well-matched to your boat and your goals on the water.
